A great post about Microsoft and its recent activities.
The take away is that Microsoft is recovering from internal cancer and has a better chance to remain relevant in the years ahead.
I particularly enjoy the comment conversation that's going on at that post. A gem here: "It's like watching dinosaurs mating".
Microsoft just doesn't "get it". Focus on the OS!! Win 7 is a good start. But what about WinMo?
The copying to WIN strategy isn't viable as it once was for MSFT. Especially since in recent years when Microsoft has been copying ideas from open source projects and re-branding them ala Sharepoint etc. Recently Microsoft decided to copy from big boy Google who seems to be not so keen on Bing; striking Microsoft at its heart with Chrome OS(Scareware? John C. Dvorak thinks so.).
Has Microsoft turned the corner?
Well my magic eight ball says "Outlook not so good."
Bad news for Microsoft if this survey reported by Reuters is indicator of things to come: 6 out of 10 companies plan to skip Windows 7
